One of our experts in Iraq travelled to Basra to conduct a risk survey of a power generation plant that feeds the national grid. The plant comprises six combined-cycle power blocks, each comprising two gas turbines and one steam turbine, for a total capacity of 500MW.
We provided recommendations for risk improvements of the overall plant. Particular risks include sections of the plant still under construction, which carries with it unique hazards different to the overall exposures of the plant.
