Forensic Investigations

Fire, machinery breakdown, loss of power and loss of water are only some of the costly incidents that can result in the spoilage of food and other related business interruption. Dust and vapour explosion, silo collapse, contamination, and the presence of disease in animals are also significant hazards that can result in business interruption, recall, and other loss of profit.

CEERISK’s Forensic Investigation Team have investigated losses that have arisen in association with agriculture and food processing at different stages of the manufacturing and distribution process.

Risk Management

Prevention of losses requires a detailed understanding about all of the steps within the food processing industry, from where the food is sourced to how it is handled while in production, and then how it reaches its final destination.

Our Risk Management Team has also worked with clients to reduce the exposure to risks at all stages of the distribution process, from integrated farms and other livestock farms to distribution centres that hold products for certain periods of time.
