Risk of Operation Outside Design Limits

Equipment across many industries, must be operated within pre-set limits that must be maintained at all times. Qualified employees must be trained to correctly use machinery as intended. It is not unusual for certain types of equipment to be pushed beyond its design limit. In many cases, control systems will interrupt operation preventing catastrophic failures. In many cases, though, equipment is allowed to operate outside design limits to prevent process failures that can lead to other complications. When this happens, equipment will suffer and will eventually fail.

This webinar looks at what can be done to prevent operation outside design limits of a variety of equipment types used in the oil & gas and petrochemical industries. Our experts will also discuss how to identify these unusual, though sometimes frequent, conditions that lead to operation outside limits of the design, in addition to looking at the consequences of what can happen should operation continue outside of design limits. The presenter will look at real life case studies to demonstrate the principals discussed during this webinar.
