Risk Engineering Track

Date: 20 May 2020
Times: 10 AM London Time with a recorded replay at 3 PM London Time

Construction sites are volatile, dynamic environments with a number of hazards that must be considered when looking to manage engineering risks during construction.

In modern cities around the world, , new skyscrapers are being erected annually as part of projects that take a number of years to complete.

In the past we have looked at some of these risks, including fire risks on construction sites in addition to other engineering risks that can lead to catastrophic losses and scheduling delays.  These significant losses which must be considered when assessing the risk on a high-rise building construction sites.

Any construction site features a number of ever-changing risks that all underwriters should be are aware of when considering a construction policy of a high-rise building project.

By the end of this webinar, participants will understand:

  • How to plan for engineering technical risks
  • The methods used to identify technical risk throughout all phases of a project
  • Analysis of engineering risks throughout all phases of a project
  • Evaluation of insured response strategy at time of underwriting
  • Methods used to monitor and control technical risks during all phases of a project
  • Investigating losses resulting from an accidents on project that follow failure to manage technical risk
