Investigation of Winding Failure Claims in Power Transformers and Large Motors

Winding failures in transformers, large motors and other rotating machinery are among the most frequent and costly failures. These failures can occur for a number of reasons, ranging from ageing to large transients. Deterioration, loosening or displacement of windings as well as foreign objects and contamination/breakdown of oil are some of the causes that will be discussed in details.

This webinar looks at the process followed by experts when investigating winding failures in power transformers and other larger motors. Using case studies from real experience, the presenter will look at different failure modes of transformers as well as the methods used to investigate these claims.
