Emerging Trends Webinar Series 2019 announced

On 12 December, 2018, CEERISK hosted our December webinar “Large Loss Recap: Lessons Learned from Large Losses.” With this we are brought to the end of our 2018 webinar series.

In the past twelve months our experts have covered an assortment of topics that are relevant to the industry, including renewable energy, electrical equipment and machinery, cyber risk, and damage caused by exposure to water and smoke.

During these webinars we made every effort to approach the topics from  forensic engineering and risk engineering perspectives. In many cases we have found a significant  overlap between these two unique approaches to the same topic and where there was no overlap, we established a way to “BRIDGE the GAP”. Based on feedback from the hundreds of professionals who took part in our webinars during 2018, we have developed a series of webinars for 2019 that we are delighted to share with you.

You will notice few differences in the new series of webinars.

  1. Separate Tracks: While it was very beneficial to our audience to approach a topic from both angles, pre and post loss, we discovered that in doing so we have been restricted from digging deeper into any single topic. Because of this, CEERISK is pleased to announce that our Emerging Trends Webinar Series 2019 will include two tracks: forensic engineering and risk engineering.
  2. New Topics: We have selected a set of topics that were recommended to us by our closest clients. These include  renewable energy, engineering risks in specialised industrial plants, ageing equipment, cyber risks, hi-tech equipment in data centres, communication, medical and pharmaceutical industries and many other topics of interest.  We will be focusing on the emerging trends in all these topics.
  3. Expanded Group of Experts: In addition to the depth of coverage of any single topic, the diversity of topics across different lines of business we will also incorporate input for a larger group of experts as we try to cover the new topics in greater depth.  Mamoon Alyah and Yazeed Jarrar will moderate these webinars with emphasis on providing greater educational value and achieving higher learning objectives.
  4. Educational Value: As in previous years, our webinars can be used to claim CPD units in accordance to CII (Chartered Insurance Institute). Each webinar qualified for one (1) hour. This year, we will track attendance at our webinars and provide you with a record that can be used to claim CPD’s with any group you wish. In addition to receiving the certificate at the end of the webinar, we will produce an official record certifying your attendance and tracking CPDs you can claim.
  5. Interactive participation: Over the past few months, we have switched our platform to a more interactive platform to allow participants to exchange thoughts and ideas with the presenters. We will be using polling and other functions to create an interactive experience that will enhance everyone’s experience.

We look forward to your participation.
