CEERISK experts in Iraq carried out a risk assessment of a power plant located in Basra. The power plant was dedicated to a steel plant providing power as necessary. Our expert arrived on site and conducted a walkthrough of the plant, noting all potential hazards including limited firefighting access due to the isolated location. Our expert also examined the overall condition of all buildings, plant and machinery in addition to general site.
The results of the survey were complemented with a desktop review and analysis of management and control systems at the plant. Multiple meetings were hosted with plant engineers to discuss different observations and recommendations.
We provided a full risk report to the steel manufacturing company that operates the plant, including recommendations for improvements to the overall risk profile of the property.
